If you hold the camera without thinking, you will often take pictures at eye level. There are horizontal angles, high angles, and low angles.
Shoot from a high position at high angles. You can give the screen spaciousness. In the case of landscapes, it is a high angle when viewed from a place like an observatory with a good view or a tall building. When shooting at a low angle, look up from a low position. As I wrote at the beginning, landscape photography also includes urban landscapes. Would you mind-challenging not only the natural scenery but also the scene with bridges and buildings? The day I go out to shoot is not always sunny. On cloudy or rainy days, be aware of the amount of sky. In landscape photography, the sky is often included. If there are a lot of whitish skies covered with clouds, it will give a lovely impression of a murderous landscape. Let’s be aware of the composition that reduces the amount of sky!
And not only the weather but also the best time to shoot. Recommended is early morning and evening. You can enjoy dramatic scenery during sunrise and sunset, which is called “magic hour.” I also want to check the direction of the sun.
There is also a time called “Blue Moment.” Immediately after sunset, it’s time to look blue before the sky turns black. If the conditions such as clean air, fine weather, and red sunset are not met, you will not see beautiful blue, but you can create a “blue world” by changing the white balance.
