The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has recently announced a special North Darshan Yatra package for train travellers.
Important dates: The tour will begin on October 31 and will end on November 8 and the total duration will be of 8 Nights/ 9 Days.
Destinations that will be covered: The exclusive package will commence its journey from Rajkot and cover Amritsar, Haridwar, Mathura, Rishikesh, Vaishno Devi and Ujjain. Indian Railways also informed that passengers can board the train at Rajkot Junction, Surendra Nagar, Viramgam, Mehsana, Kalol, Sabarmati, Anand, Chayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam and Nagda.
Cost of the tour: As per the IRCTC’s official website, the fare for sleeper class is Rs.8,505 per person, while for 3AC, it is Rs.14,175 per person. However, for children below 5 years, the booking is free. However, children above 5 years will be charged as per the adult fare.
How to book tickets for this tour? Passengers can book the ticket for this exclusive yatra by visiting IRCTC’s official website–irctctourism.com. However, for other train bookings to any other destination, use ixigo.
The package will include:
> Train journey by SL/3AC class
> Night stay/fresh up at Dharmashalas/Halls on multi sharing basis
> Morning tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner per day
> Non AC road transfers on a SIC basis

The package will not include:
> Items of personal nature i.e. laundry, medicines
> Entrance fee for monuments

Tour itinerary: Rajkot Jn – Surendra Nagar – Viramgam – Mehsana – Kalol – Sabartmati – Anand – Chayapuri – Godhra – Dahod – Ratlam – Nagada – Haridwar – Rishikesh – Amritsar – Mata Vaishnodevi – Mathura – Ujjain and back.
Important: Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will be issued for the passengers who avail the Bharat Darshan tours (only the train fare + road transfers will be admitted) after completion of the tour.
Things to remember:
1. Aarogya Setu app is mandatory.
2. Face masks are mandatory. All passengers must wash their hands frequently with soap.
3. All luggage must be disinfected at the reception/boarding point.
4. All tourists must comply with mandatory health recommendations issued by the central, state and local governments during their travel.
5. Social distancing must be followed while rain boarding/disembarking/other transportation, visiting monuments, group lunches, dinners, etc.
Travellers, attention! For the tour, one has to bring pillows, a bedsheet, nylon rope for drying clothes, a lock and key with a chain to secure any luggage, a bucket with a mug, torchlight, umbrella, personal medicines, plates, glass, etc,.
All passengers must also carry a driving license, voter ID card, aadhaar card, pan card as proof of identity for cross verification.
